How much do home removals cost?

Filed under: removals — admin @ 6:46 pm

I’ve looked all over the internet and asked people but I get no proper answers…

I’m moving out of my current flat, and I don’t have alot of stuff just the basics. I’m only moving three miles away from were I currently live.

How much do you think it’ll cost?
I live in Barnsley, I’m moving to Monk Bretton.

It’s about £500.00

In my opinion, it’s generally cheaper than you think, and once you’ve used them as opposed

to doing it yourself, you’ll appreciate every penny.

At the end of the day, there will be 2-3 guys each earning £120/ day, so it’s £360.00 plus
the use of the van and diesel, say £100, plus a bit of insurance and profit.

I’ve done a similar move before and it’s £500-£600.

I once moved from one end of the country to the other with a 2 bed house full of stuff, and that
was only £1200!

Cheers

  1. Not knowing where you live makes a difference. I’m not clear on home removal. If your wanting the items relocated to your new flat. Normally, you pay a flat rate for pounds plus mileage. Since its only three miles, it would be good to get friends with a truck to help you move.

If your wanting to discard the items & have your flat cleaned. I suggest you contact your local charity have them pick up the items and hire someone to do a complete cleaning for a predetermined amount.

  3. The best thing for you is to ring a ‘ man with van ‘ advert in local shop windows/papers. They will be your cheapest bet. Or you could simply hire a Luton van for the day for about £50 and do it yourself.
