Removals, trucks, services and all your needs

I was watching BBC News and they said Harrogate Council were objecting to the removal of Red Telephone Boxes?

I know we live in the age of mobile phones, but its such a traditional English thing. Don’t you think they should just leave the remaining boxes alone or do you think there not needed so get rid of them?

They are so traditionally british, I think its nice to see them

Around the Harrogate, Dales, York and Moors area there is a necessity for some of these boxes to be kept as the mobile phone signals are so poor and unfortunately not everyone can afford a land line in rural communities. Both Harrogate and York councils have submitted lists of the boxes they deem essential – bet that ends up cut in two!

  2. Top Marks to Harrogate Council.
Let’s hope that other councils follow suit.

  3. I think the Red Box should stay , it doesnt need to be moved , all they need to do is make it a bit more user friendly , make sure the cold doesnt get in ect.

  4. Councils can agree with BT to adopt them for a fixed fee each year, with or without an operational telephone inside.

  5. i think they’re a hazzard

i was visiting England, i went ino one, and it was much bigger on the inside than the outside

there was this doctor inside who kept talking about going back and forth in time and traveling into outer space

but seriously, you need to get rid of them to make room for new mosques

  6. As long as the tax payer pays for them. If people want to keep them then they should pay for them. It irritates me when people expect a private company like BT to have to pay for them. It makes no profit from them. People should lobby their council & the council can pay at the tax payers expense.

Edit:- How many of you on hear have BT broadband. Very few. Get one of your service providers to pay for the boxs
