Use a rubber glove with ribbed lining, use the inside and rub gently across surface, pet hair will ball up and you can pull off easy or use sticky side of tape to grap the clumps after gathering.
References :
I purchased a vaccuum that has a animal hair removal tool, made for getting the hair out... but cleaning it everyday will make the buildup less to deal with. Vaccuum the couches and floors everyday.. sewwp and mop to get the flyways.. or keep the pets in an area they cant shed too much like the kitchen.
References :
The only think that has ever worked for me is a pet lint roller. You can buy it at Target it is bigger than the average roller.
References :
Actually there is a spray that u spray on furniture right after u vacumm & clean it.After u spray it, its much much easier for the fur to come off when u vacumm it next time.I bought one..u can check the link below for more info, its called "Fresh n' Clean.Pet care Vac-away.Also, U might wanna try a lint remover, tho it might cost a lil so u can opt for a thick masking tape to remove it instead. As a roll of tape is much cheaper than disposable lint removers.Good Luck! :)
References :
http://www.lambertkay.com/

I'm agreeing with sticky tape (not ye olde taped music, it's useless with animal hair)

Just wrap it sticky side out around your hand (or animal paws, why not? they made the mess, have them help with clean up. XD) and prush hand (or paw, remember sticky side out, or it's just petting the furniture) and watch the hair just disappear (It's actually on the tape, IT's ON THE TAPE! And soylent green IS PEOPLE! IT's PEOPLE!)
