If furniture is in good condition and you just want to get rid of it phone a second hand shop they will come collect and give you money for it! If you are just moving home rent a man with a van there are normally lot’s around that will charge a daily rate which I am sure you can negotiate!

Hire a "van and man" – Yellow Pages is full of them.

Charity shops will pick up any unwanted items and will charge you about £5.

go on http://www.freecycle.org and you can offer your items to be picked up as and when yp want free.

Ask a friend with a license to help you out , hire a van do the job , take him for a meal / drink .

What are friends for if not to help one another out

Contact your local council and see if they have a larger item collection service. Mine will pick up beds/sofas, larger carpets etc if you ring them. They make a small charge but more economical than hiring a man with a van. If you are gettign rid of the items, this may work. If you are looking to move them elsewhere than a man with a van might be your chepaest option, or get a family member to hire for you. Hope this helps
