Friday, February 12th, 2010

I will be moving some of the contents from my apartment in London UK to Toronto Canada in December. I would like to know if anyone out there can recommend a good (affordable and reputable) company that they have used to move goods trans atlantic.

Best wishes ABanana

Many of the larger well established companies do overseas shipping to a high standard.
Pick up the free magazines available weekly on the streets geared at the backpackers and they have lots of shipping agents listed in them.

Anyone know of good permanent or very long term hair removals?

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

I don’t mind shaving my legs, but i have dark arm hair that i would like to get rid of. I don’t want to get laser hair removal. I want something i can do at home that is either permanent or makes hair grow back slower and much finer each time. Can anyone reccomend products that they KNOW work?

For arm hair I would never recommend shaving or waxing. As you probably already know your hair will grow back thicker and darker. If you really can’t stand your arm hair, bleach it. It will become finer and lighter and hardly visible. You can buy facial hair bleach at the drug store. Do not use bleach for hair, it is too strong and will chemically burn your skin. Buy the kits for facial hair.

Any permanent hair removal cannot be achieved at home. Sorry I wish it could, I’d buy it in a heart beat, so would millions of others!

I am moving from Belfast to Birmingham, can anyone recommend a cheap removals company?

Monday, February 1st, 2010

I don’t drive, so can’t get the ferry! I don’t have furniture to move, but tons of books, clothes, couple of framed pictures, duvet etc. Just looking for the cheapest way to move these across. Thanks!

If you go onto Gumtree.com – Click belfast – and search for man with a van. There are a few of these that go from the Uk to NI on a regular basis and offer removal services.

What the Best Web-based Email Marketing Solutions Offer

Friday, January 29th, 2010

If anyone thinks that email marketing has gotten easier in the past few years, they couldn’t be more wrong. For starters, the majority of people get a lot of SPAM in their e-mails every day, making them more aggressive with the DELETE button (even with legitimate offers and newsletters that they’ve elected to recieved). And of course CAN-SPAM compliance issues make the entire web-based e-mail marketing process “easier said than done” to say the least. That’s why choosing an e-mail marketing service should be done with a bit research and a lot of care. Here are a few things to look for while you seek out your ideal service.

1. Easy Set-up and Management. Your ideal service will be easy to use, maintain and configure, with enough options to give you what you need from the very beginning. Be sure that there’s adequate customer service and support available to you when you need it.

2. “Smart” Tracking Features. This is mandatory feature, enabling you to know instantly which autoresponders and messages are pulling in the most, as in direct marketing you really need to be able to track everything you possibly can. This way, you can easily figure out which offers and messages are working the best and eliminate the ones that aren’t performing.

3. Database Access. The ability to access and manage your database of prospects is imperative to any successful e-mail marketing plan. You should be able to add subscribers, view removals, update messages, etc. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (when it’s convenient for you, not your service provider).

4. The ability to “get it in”. Messages from many e-mail marketing solutions will have a tough time getting through ISPs, let alone staying out of the “bulk” folder. The best email campaign on the net won’t do anyone any good if it gets deleted before it can be read. Ensure that any prospective solution actually gets a high percentage of messages through to recipients.

Of course there are other features you’ll certainly want, like CAN-SPAM compliance (to keep you and your autoresponder out of legal trouble), SPAM-Check (to analyze your message and tell you how to improve it so your message gets to the recipient’s inbox, not their bulk folder), and the ability to attach files to your messages. While these special features might not seem critical to you now, one day in the future they may just be a necessity, so be sure that your e-mail service can expand to meet the needs of your growing business.

How well do tattoo removals work?

Monday, January 25th, 2010

I had a tattoo done when i was 16 which i now regret big time, i want to get it removed but was wondering if it actually works? Does it leave any scarring? My tattoo is all black and on my back if that makes any difference? What is the best method to get this removed?

Thanks alot!

Everybody has different results, so no one can say for sure. The ink used and the age of the tattoo both make a difference, though black is universally the easiest color to remove (then red and yellow, blue and green are hardest). Contemporary technologies scar little, if at all, but you may have some shadow left. It also takes a very, very long time, because you have to heal between each session. If you check out bmeink.com, there’s a photo gallery devoted to laser removals. They usually say how many sessions have passed for each picture. It’s worth checking out. If you really, really hate the tattoo, it’s worth doing. If you hate that specific tattoo, but don’t mind them in general, it’s worth getting a few sessions to fade it, then cover it up.

Dallas Contracting Co., Inc. Completes Concrete Aggregate Crushing Project

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

South Plainfield, New Jersey, July 2005 – Dallas Contracting
Co., Inc., (website: http://www.dallascontracting.com) a
specialized contractor providing demolition, onsite concrete
aggregate crushing, equipment salvage and scrap metal recycling
to various industries, completed a 5,000 ton concrete and
asphalt crushing project for a client in New Jersey.

The project scope consisted of Dallas Contracting Co., Inc.
(Dallas Contracting) providing an excavator and an onsite
concrete crushing plant to crush 5,000 tons of concrete, asphalt
and brick into 2 inch minus material to be used for onsite
backfilling. The work had to be completed quickly as the client
had a backfilling deadline that had to be met.

To accomplish this task, Dallas Contracting utilized a Komatsu
PC220LC excavator with bucket attachment and an UltraMax
1000-15CV Plant (manufactured by Eagle Crusher Company, Inc.).
The Ultramax is a 3 stage portable crushing unit that has a feed
hopper size of 11 cubic yards and is powered by a 275HP Diesel
and 75KW generator. The typical throughput for the crushing
plant on material of this nature is about 1000+ tons per day.

The materials were first sized to 2 feet x 2 feet in order to
fit into the feeder. The materials where then fed into the
hopper utilizing the Komatsu excavator. Rebar from the concrete
is sorted out from the aggregate material via an onboard magnet.
The rebar is discharged to the side and the crushed materials
are discharged towards the rear. The crushed aggregate material
was sized to 2 inch minus.

Due to the client’s timetable, all materials needed to be
crushed as soon as possible in order to meet their backfilling
schedule. Dallas Contracting was able to meet the client’s tight
schedule and all 5,000 tons of materials were crushed in five
(5) days. The crushed aggregate was immediately utilized by the
client for onsite backfilling. The project was completed on
schedule and without incident or injury.

Our concrete aggregate and asphalt crushing services offered the
client many benefits including:

Environmentally friendly – conserve landfill space

By utilizing the crushed aggregate materials onsite as fill
material, it saved the client a substantial amount of money by
not having to import backfill materials or send the original
materials offsite for disposal.

Dallas Contracting Co., Inc. is an expert in onsite concrete
aggregate crushing, asphalt crushing and recycling. Additional
