He seems to have a lot of international support, but in terms of US-foreign conflict, will the removal of Bush and entry of Obama have a positive impact or a negative impact on this matter?

the rest of the world will certainly be relieved when we elect him, as he is the polar opposite of Bush, who is seen internationally as a terrorist and a war criminal.

Should the country that laid the land mines and dropped cluster bombs be made to remove them?

For every 50 people living today there is 1 unexploded land mine An estimated of 100 million of them, These mines kill or injure 20,000 each and every year many young children playing in areas where they have been dropped .Russia, China and the US all have refused to stop making these terrible weapons so should these 3 countries pay for their ultimate removal

We pray for that to happen because people after the war can’t tolerate anymore violence and suffering, and the country that launched the cluster bombs owns maps indicating the location of these bombs, and when this country realizes that it is legally required to remove the bombs, it will think a million times before firing them again.

By an international body,or perhaps a consortium of major states. No genocide or even expulsion,just a removal of the government,like when the Allies dismantled the Third Reich. What do you think most of the jews there would do? Would they organize terrorists groups,or leave,or commit mass suicide? Opinions? Please,try to be courteous; it’s a volatile subject. I don’t think it’s really all that hypothetical – not with the EU forming a war crimes tribunal specifically targeting israeli crimes in Lebanon and the Gaza.

Most would leave but the diehards – the Gush Emunim crowd – would stay and develop terrorist or reistance groups,depending on your point of view. Because International Court of Justice is toothless and cannot impose any sanctions on Israel.
So Israel does not feel compelled to follow this decision unless some military or economic sanctions will be imposed in Israel.

I call them foolish attempts to avoid the inevitable.
I am not saying that I like or want war, I have always wanted peace between people but no one can stay at peace for ever. Lets take the EU for example, is it really as good as it sounds? With this peace countries lost their traditions, their legacy, what did our ancestors fight for? For some foreigners to come in to our land, take our resources and women, pollute the air we breve and destroy our culture and our way of life?
International peace is a dream for the weak mind, there is only one way to have peace and the is to conquer and dominate. I’m sorry I offended your ideal but I only speak the truth taking into account the present.

A couple weeks ago, he simply disappeared, and Barry took over the tech responsibilities. I never heard an explanation as to why. I searched a couple websites and there is no mention as to his removal. Does anyone know why he’s not on the show anymore? I always enjoyed him on both shows. GHI is not the same w/o him.

My country has just joined the Convention for Child Abduction in year 2009.
My exhusband has absconded to Turkey with my kids in 2006. Turkey is a member since 2000, thus it has wrongful retention of my kids under this convention, but there is an Article 35 which states, as follows, so, am I able to be an applicant to this convention?
Article 35:
This Convention shall apply as between Contracting States only to wrongful removals or retentions occurring after its entry into force in those States.

No, you can’t, I’m afraid. Since your current country was not a member when the removal occurred, the Convention does not apply.
